Lake Houston Gardeners
About Us
Friends Who Garden
For over 25 years, the Lake Houston Gardeners have offered a gathering place for community members who are passionate about plants and nature. Our members include seasoned experts and those just beginning their gardening adventure, to everyone in between. We warmly welcome visitors and newcomers to our meetings.

Meet the Committee
In 1989, three gardeners came together to discuss plants, landscapes and various gardening topics in their living rooms. Over time, they began inviting more gardeners and friends, eventually establishing regular meetings at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Kingwood. Without officers or elections, members contributed collectively to turn the small gathering into a large active group. Today, the Lake Houston Gardeners continue to operate similarly to those early days--with no officers or elections-relying on a collaborative approach to run the club
