Our Holiday Party is Almost Here

The next meeting of the Lake Houston Gardeners is the annual Holiday Party, hosted by our wonderful Hospitality team, Judy Brown and Diane Wolf. The date is Monday, December 8, from 6:30p.m. to 9p.m. at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.

As in past years, the club will provide the main dish of honey baked ham, and also soft drinks. The club will not provide wine this year, but members are welcome to bring their own bottles.

Club members also need to bring a dessert, an appetizer OR a side dish. In the past, these contributions have produced a magnificent feast. Also, each member can bring a "plus one". Early arrivals are encouraged, starting at 5:30p.m., to help set up the party.

There will also be the usual gift exchange game. I you would like to participate, please bring one wrapped or bagged gift valued at about $20. Be mindful not to get attached to the gift you draw in the exchanged; they can be snatched by another participant up to three times, or according to the rules established by the Games Master, Phyllis Bost. She promises another bidding war game that was introduced in last year's party.
